ABOUT YOGAWARE® FOAM FRIENDS

Foam Friends are helpful yoga "furniture" shapes cut from a special firm foam designed to absorb impact. The foam compresses only slightly under weight, has excellent recovery and lasting quality. Foam Friends provide EXCELLENT SUPPORT and COMFORT. They are very light, quiet, and easy to handle.

FABRIC & COLOR INFORMATION

Foam Friend yoga props, unless noted otherwise, are covered with corduroy. YOGAWARE® offers a selection of colors. Our current color choices are NAVY, DARK OLIVE, FOREST GREEN, ROYAL BLUE and BURGUNDY.

PLATFORMS

Approximately 2" x 18" x 24". The PLATFORMS are wonderful for support under the shoulders in shoulder balance. Setup is fast. A second platform is helpful to extend support to the whole torso when entering or exiting shoulder stand.

LONG BARS - Set of 3

Each Long Bar is approximately 2" x 8" x 27". Using the LONG BARS is much faster and more precise than folding blankets. They may be stacked to provide stable, even elevation and support for chest opening while practicing supta virasana, savasana and pranayama. Use 3 side by side on a sticky mat to create a larger shoulder stand platform.

HALF ROUNDED LONG BAR

Approximately 2 3/4" x 6" x 27". The curve on the HALF ROUNDED LONG BAR offers a precise higher central elevation for the spine when used lengthwise. This allows the rib cage and shoulders to gently drape to either side. It is a wonderful opening for rest or pranayama. May also be used crosswise.

HALF ROUNDED SHORT BAR

Approximately 2 3/4" x 6" x 13 1/2". This compact version of the HALF ROUNDED BAR is sized for travel. Explore its use for seated poses, back support, foot support and chest openings while on the road or at home.

WEDGES Black foam wrapped in non-slip material.

Approximately 13 1/2" x 8" x 5 1/2". Useful for stiff ankles or tight calves and hamstrings in standing poses. Tuck under thighs for support in Baddha Konasana and Padmansana. Use to angle and anchor blankets when lots of support is needed. Great for use in many of the seated poses.

BACK BOOSTER Covered in velvety upholstery fabric.

Approximately 14" x 10" x 8". The BACK BOOSTER is a uniquely curved support. In Setu Bandha type practices it supports and anchors the curve of the lower back to facilitate chest opening. The design allows your arms to extend on either side of the booster.

RECLINER Covered in velvety upholstery fabric.

Approximately 23" x 13" x 8". The unique shape of the RECLINER supports the lower back and opens the heart-lung-chest area. The included WOOL ROLL UP cradles the head and neck. The arm's weight draping to each side increases the "opening" effect. Supported hip opening poses can be practiced simultaniously. Great for for home and office to rest and recharge. Can be adapted to fit various size bodies using folded towels or blankets.
